College of Western Idaho

Scholarships

Overview
Scholarships are a type of aid that help students pay for their education. Like grants, they do not have to be repaid. Awards are available for students who are interested in particular fields of study, who are members of underrepresented groups, who live in certain areas, or who demonstrate financial need. College of Western Idaho (CWI) has a variety of scholarships available from various organizations and individuals in the community. Most of these scholarships are administered by the CWI Foundation.

CWI's scholarship program has a wide variety of scholarship opportunities based on a variety of criteria to include students enrolled in degree programs, workforce development, or adult basic education. Scholarships are awarded each spring for the following fall and spring semesters. Summer awards are awarded based on fund availability. Scholarships are available for both full and part time students.

Scholarship applications are available online through the CWI Scholarship website. This single scholarship application allows students to complete ONE application and be considered for ALL available CWI Foundation Scholarships. Students needing assistance completing the online application can visit a One Stop Student Services location for assistance.
