Welcome to the College of Western Idaho Library page!

You will find the library in Room 209 on the second floor of the three-story brick building at 5500 East Opportunity Drive, in Nampa. From the second floor landing of the main stairway, look straight ahead. You can't miss the “LIBRARY” sign on the maroon wall at the end of the study area.

Online Research Options
CWI students, faculty, and staff can access full-text articles from scholarly journals, electronic books, and other digital resources, and can locate CWI Library's reference and reserve materials online.

For Usernames/Passwords:
  • Students – Login to MyCSI and click “Courses and Registration” link; find “CWI Library Resources and Login Info for Students” (right side of page).
  • Faculty/Staff – Login to the CWI portal, find Library (Instruction dropdown menu) and choose a "CWI Library Resources Login Info…" for either Faculty/Staff or Students.

College of Southern Idaho Library »

  • When prompted for a username and password, follow instructions from the CSI Library page, as if you were a CSI student or faculty/staff member. Some CSI Library databases and online journals require an additional username and password. Watch for instructions and/or links near each Username and Password prompt on CSI Library web pages.

Logins/Usernames and Passwords
Use logins and passwords listed above for current online resources. New logins and passwords will be required as new online products are made available. Please check with library staff for the most current information.

Reference Collection
A growing collection of reference books is now available for in-library use. Students and staff can also access electronic reference books (e-books) via the LiLI and College of Southern Idaho (CSI) Library webpages.

Textbook Collection/Reserves
Each semester, many faculty members donate current textbooks or place them on reserve for their students' use. Textbooks are available for 2-hour checkout within the library. Faculty members also have the option of placing supplemental books and non-print media on reserve for their students to use in or outside the library. Reserve items, including textbooks, can be found at the Circulation Desk.

General Collection and Paperback Exchange
An emerging collection of books and non-print materials are now available to check out of the library for various loan periods. The library also houses a collection of donated books that can be traded for books of your own.

Interlibrary Loan
As of July 1, 2009, CWI Library will be able to borrow books and non-print media from libraries worldwide. Ask library staff for details.

Library Hours
Regular library hours for Summer Session are: 8:30am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday. As enrollment numbers increase for subsequent semesters, expanded library hours will follow.

Exceptions to library hours will be posted on library doors and the bulletin boards at the north end of the main hallways on first, second, and third floors of our Nampa Campus Academic Building. Please plan to drop by the library on a regular basis to ask the staff for updates in library services and holdings.
